The Perth 800 Sale

The Perth 800 Sale

Thursday 1st July 2010

2010 is the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Burgh of Perth when in 1210 King William the Lion granted the Royal Charter.

The Perth 800 Sale will be a specialist auction scheduled to be held on 1st July 2010 and run in parallel to the year-long Perth 800 celebrations. The sale will include a wide range of antiques, art and collectables showcasing the diversity of the applied and fine arts that have originated or been inspired by Perth and its surroundings.

The sale will provide a unique platform for vendors looking to sell Perth-related items and will also provide buyers with an opportunity to add to their collections.

The auction will take place in the King Street saleroom which is a well known Perth landmark, a former church dating to the early part of the 19th century designed by Perth Architect William MacDonald Mackenzie.

The Perth 800 Sale will be a traditional auction with the added feature of live internet bidding.

The sale will include examples from the following categories -

Glass and Paperweights, Ceramics, Silver and Jewellery, Furniture and Works of Art,
Clocks and Scientific Instruments, Oil Paintings, Watercolours, Etchings and Prints, Books and Maps,
Militaria and Medals, Advertising Items and Collectables, Fishing and Sporting Items, Architectural Items, Whisky
