Rare cask barrows for auction

RARE CAST iron cask barrows, reputedly from the Perth Dewars cooperage, are set to go under the hammer.
They will feature at a special auction marking the 800th anniversary of Perth being made a royal burgh.
Thought to date from the latter part of the 19th century, the items are among a huge range of lots already in place ahead of the sale, which will be hosted at the Lindsay Burns auction house in 2010.
AN AUCTION sale of antiques and collectables either made in Perth, or associated with the area, is to be staged next year as part of the octocentenary celebrations.
