We have three categories of auction, our Antiques and Fine Art Sales, regular General Household Sales and Specialist sales, all of which include a broad spectrum of Fine Art, Antiques and Collectables.

Our sales are advertised both locally and nationally using a variety of media and highlights have been covered in The Scotsman, Irish Times, Scottish Field magazine, Antiques Trade Gazette and The Courier, to name a few (full details are on our press page).

Antique Sales

These sales consist of pictures and prints, antique furniture, Asian art, carpets and rugs, works of art and clocks, silver and jewellery, British and European ceramics and glass, books, maps and arms and armour. All lots are fully catalogued, with selected lots being illustrated in our catalogues. All lots are illustrated on our online catalogue at www.lindsayburns.co.uk and on www.the-saleroom.com where we have a live bidding facility.

General Sales

These sales consist of Victorian, Edwardian and modern furniture and furnishings, together with ceramics, glass, silver, jewellery, pictures, prints, toys, cameras and books as well as general household goods. All lots are listed on our website prior to sale as well in a catalogue that is available to purchase.

Specialist Sales

These sales consist of single owner collections, specialist collector sales or themed sales, such as the recent Perth Sale. This was a specialist auction showcasing examples of antiques and collectables made in and around Perth and was held in conjunction with the Perth 800 celebrations. Other examples include House sales, consisting of the contents of private houses and their collections and a single owner sale of British Postcards.
